Deadliest Open Interview with Captain Keith- Seattle Fishernan's Memorial
Save the date! August 27, 2011 will be our first annual Deadliest Open™ Celebrity Golf Tournament
benefiting the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial! We will publish news and events surrounding this spectacular golf tournament on a regular basis and toss in a few interviews and tips for what to expect this August at Suncadia Resort!
Recently we asked Wizard Captain Keith Colburn (and SFM Board Member) about the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial:
Seattle Fisherman memorial
Keith Colburn
DO: You are a Volunteer Board Member of the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial. Tell us a little bit about it.
KEITH: Being a member of the SFM board allows me the opportunity to help give something back to a fishery that has become my life.
DO: Tell us why the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial means so much to you and to your peers in the fishing industry?
KEITH: Having fished 26 years in the Bering Sea I've lost many good friends. The Seattle Fishermen's Memorial supports the kids of mariners lost at sea with tuition, scholarships and promotes and helps with continued safety training for active fishermen.
DO: How can the public help support the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial?
KEITH: The event you and Autumn are hosting at Suncadia this August will be a great way for people to support the Memorial while also having a great time golfing in the sunshine! The SFM is very excited to be the charity beneficiary for this event and the Board is appreciative for the support and awareness it will bring to the Memorial. We look forward to being a continued part of this annual golf event!
DO: What are you most looking forward to at the Deadliest Open™ Celebrity Golf Tournament?
KEITH: For me, it's all about the fans! I'm really looking forward to meeting and hanging out with the fans that weekend. Practice your golf swing and I'll see you all in August at the Deadliest Open™ Golf Tournament!
-Captain Keith
Finally, we welcome your feedback about who you want to see golf and what you are most looking forward to in anticipation of our 2011 Deadliest Open™ Celebrity Golf Tournament!
Until next time!
Autumn and Winnie
