My question is; How long does it take yall to get to Dutch Harbor from Seattle via the Wizard?

Do yall ever fly back and forth?

From my understanding from the book working on the edge it takes a week. but this was written back in the 80's so i'm sure its quicker now.

It takes around a week to get to Dutch from Seattle. Yes, they do fly back and forth between RKC and Opie seasons.
Capt. Keith is already on his way to Dutch for Opies, so he might not be able to post for awhile.
We sure hope you will stick around and join us more often!

Sorry about the delayed response.
It is apx. 8 days from Seattle to D.H.
My worst crossing was 12.5 days. 2 boats lost windows that year, and we got the snot beat out of us for 7 of those 12 days. Another time on a rare December transit the Billikin opted to head for the cover of the Peninsula just west of Kodiak, and put about 3' of ice on the boat. We stayed out in warmer water and put about 8-12 inches on.

In total I have spent over 10 months of my last 24+ years commuting to work.

And I thought an hour one way was bad...that's a lotta commuting, man!
